Como funciona Ethereum Classic?

Ethereum Classic secures its network using a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism. This system requires participants, known as miners, to compete in solving complex mathematical problems to validate transactions. The first miner to find the correct solution gets to add the next block of transactions to the blockchain ledger.

Miners are essential to the operation and security of the Ethereum Classic network. They dedicate significant computational resources to validate transactions and maintain the integrity of the public ledger. In return for their work and resource expenditure, miners receive newly created ETC as a block reward for their contributions.

When a user initiates a transaction, it is broadcast to the network and placed in a memory pool of unconfirmed transactions. Miners select transactions from this pool to include in the new block they are attempting to create. Once a block is successfully mined and added to the chain, the included transactions are permanently recorded and considered confirmed.
