TRON is a Layer-1 blockchain platform designed to support a decentralized internet and serve as a global digital content distribution system. Launched in 2017 by founder Justin Sun, the network aims to facilitate the creation and deployment of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. It operates using a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, where token holders vote for Super Representatives who are responsible for validating transactions and producing new blocks. The platform's native cryptocurrency, TRX, is used for transactions, staking, and participating in the governance of the network. TRON has established itself as a smart contract platform within the broader blockchain ecosystem.

Como funciona TRON?

TRON secures its network using a consensus mechanism known as Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS). This system relies on token holders voting for a limited number of block producers, called Super Representatives. These elected representatives are tasked with validating transactions and adding new blocks to the TRON blockchain.

The network's primary participants include Super Representatives (SRs), SR Partners, and TRX token holders. The 27 SRs with the most votes become the active block producers for the network. SR Partners are candidates who do not get enough votes to be an SR but still receive rewards for their participation.

When a transaction is submitted, it is broadcast across the TRON network to be included in a block. The active Super Representative for that time slot gathers pending transactions and validates them. After validation, the SR creates a new block and adds it to the chain, making the transaction final.
