Was ist Tezos?

Tezos operates using a consensus mechanism known as Liquid Proof-of-Stake (LPoS), which is a variation of the standard Proof-of-Stake model. In this system, token holders can stake their XTZ to participate in the process of validating transactions and creating new blocks. This participation helps secure the network and maintain its integrity without requiring intensive computational work like Proof-of-Work systems.

The primary participants in the Tezos network are called "bakers," who are responsible for creating and validating blocks of transactions. Any token holder with a sufficient amount of XTZ can become a baker and earn rewards for their contributions. Alternatively, holders with smaller amounts can delegate their staking rights to a baker, allowing them to earn a share of the rewards without running their own node.

When a user initiates a transaction, it is broadcast to the network and included in a block by a baker. This baker then proposes the block to the network, where it is verified and endorsed by other participants. Once the block receives enough endorsements, it is permanently added to the Tezos blockchain, and the transaction is considered complete and irreversible.
